In Japan, sea bream is known as a fish that brings good luck. When celebrating the New Year in Japan, we eat salt-grilled sea bream called ``NIRAMI-TAI'' with New Year dishes.
Incidentally, in Kyoto, there is a custom of displaying this NIRAMI-TAI for three days after the New Year and then eating it three days later.
It is an essential item for Japanese New Year celebrations.

This item will only be sold to customers who can pick it up at the Sakamotoya store from 2pm to 6pm on December 31st.

日本では鯛は縁起の良い魚として知られています。日本で新年をお祝いする場合、この「NIRAMI-TAI」という鯛の塩焼きをおせち料理と共に食べます。
因みに京都では新年から3日間このNIRAMI-TAIを飾ってから3日後に食べる風習があります。
日本の新年のお祝いには欠かせないアイテムです。
