It is a traditional Japanese Daikon pickled radish - takuan, which in its marinade uses Umi no Sei salt, known as the best salt in Japan. This premium takuan is made from naturally grown turnips from Miyazaki Prefecture and is aged at low temperature in a marinade of rice bran mixed with sea salt. Free from sugar, artificial spices and dyes. Before serving, remove the bran remaining from the marinade and cut the takuan into smaller pieces.
